Starting from 385 E Parkway, Gatlinburg, TN 37738, take US-441 south through the national park, past all the stunning overlooks on Newfound Gap Road — Campbell Overlook, Chimney Tops, and Morton Overlook. At Newfound Gap, continue south on the Clingman's Dome Road (seasonal, typically open April-November) to the parking area at the top.
From the parking lot, it's a half-mile paved hike to the 54-foot observation tower at the summit. At 6,643 feet, Kuwohi is the highest peak in the Smokies and offers unforgettable 360° panoramic views stretching across mountain ridges in every direction.
